Thai Traditional Massage (or Nuad Boran) has been developing for over 2000 years.

It focuses on circulation of vital energy in major pathways called sen. These major pathways are massaged, while important pressure points are stimulated to help break down blockages, stimulate energy flow and restore balance and harmony.

Traditional Thai Massage uses no oils or lotions, and the recipient remains clothed during the session. There is constant body contact between the masseuse and client, but instead of just rubbing on muscles, the whole body is compressed, pulled, stretched and rocked in order to clear energy blockages and relieve tension. The masseuse uses thumbs, palms, forearms, elbows, knees and feet to stimulate the energy flow along the pathways of the body. In this process, joints are opened, muscles and tendons are stretched, internal organs are toned, and energy is balanced. The overall effect is one of deep relaxation, rejuvenation, and physical and mental well being.

Traditional Thai Massage is not appropriate in cases of high fever, infection, recent injuries (particularly bone fractures), muscle and skeleton injuries, high or low blood pressure, heart diseases and disorders, all forms of cancer, or early and late stages of pregnancy.

Note: If you are short of time you can relax and unwind for 30 to 60 minutes of a treatment dedicated solely to pain and tension in your upper body (head and neck) or a 30-minute treatment that addresses points increasing the blood flow and oxygen to the arms and hands. These particular treatments are also included in some of our packages.

The Thai Foot Massage is the application of pressure onto particular areas of the soles of the feet. The masseuse uses hands, fingers, thumbs and knuckles on the feet to provide relaxation, balance in the body’s various systems, and improved blood circulation.

Proponents report relief from stress, back pain, other chronic pain, allergies, high blood pressure, sleep disorders, fibromyalgia, gout, migraines, arthritis, diabetes, kidney problems and digestive problems.

Thai Foot Massage is not appropriate in case of severe heart problems or other serious health problems, pregnancy, menstruation, high fever, contagious disease or sores, broken bones, or with a full stomach.

Aroma Oil Massage is a combination of traditional Thai massage and essential massage oils from Thailand. It harnesses the body’s sense of smell to help relieve stress, boost mood and improve general well-being. However, aroma massage is not only about scent. The oils from fruits, plants, herbs and flowers are also carried into the blood stream when rubbed into the skin.

Aroma Oil Massage involves the use of essential oils extracted from natural products, therefore there is less chance of allergic reaction to them.

Thai Herbal Massage is a common method of treatment employed in traditional Thai medicine. The hot herbal compress contains various herbs tightly enclosed in fabric which is then steam-heated. The compress is pressed over the entire body in order to reduce muscle stress, vitalize inner organs and stimulate senses.

Typical benefits from a hot herbal compress are relief from general muscular aches, pains and tension, stimulation of the lymphatic system, blood flow and circulation.

Thai Herbal Massage is not appropriate if you have a fever, flu, infection, are pregnant, sunburned, have received treatment for cancer in the past 12 months, are sensitive to heat, or are taking medication that can cause sensitivity to heat.
